Jaret W.
What if you died, went to heaven, and came back? How would you feel? How would you react? Although he is not the one who went on this amazing journey to heaven and back, his son is. I chose
this book because I am a christian and I wanted to learn more about what happened to this boy and what his journey was like. I expected to learn a little bit about what heaven was like. The book Heaven is for Real by Todd Burpo is about a four-year-old boy who while in surgery at the emergency room, experienced heaven and came back to life to tell magnificent stories about heaven and about Earth. The message of this book is that there is a heaven and that is the final truth.
Overall, this is a very good book for anybody to pick up and read. I believe it can give believers the some reassurance that heaven does exist, and leave non-believers wondering how it could ever be possible if God didn’t exist. This book certainly gave me some worldly proof that I needed in my christian life to stay strong in my faith so that one day I may go to heaven myself.

Awesome book
I couldn't put it down. Love this book. Those who question this book have no faith and are closed minded!

I do believe that this little boy's experience was real, however, I don't believe it was unbiased as his father keeps insisting throughout the book. The father, who authored the book is a pastor; and, unless he never took his son to church, his son's account is so full of Christian symbolism that he goes into ridiculous detail such as what color Jesus wears in heaven. The most disturbing part of the book is the part when he takes his son to a funeral of a man who wasn't part of their church and his son begins yelling about how this man is not saved because he didn't have Jesus in his heart. In my opinion, Jesus loves everyone, whether or not they love him. This book tries to assert that God only loves Christians.

A believer who believes
I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! I had questions answered and my curiosity about what Heaven looks like was made a little clearer. This is so heart warming. I wish I could meet the Pastor and family :-)

"Heaven is for Real" Review
Amazing. I couldn't put it down. I also researched Akiane Kramarik and was amazed with her story as well. This has definitely opened my eyes further to what I had already
known; and was born into a Christian family but after "researching" other religions, found that I still believe there must be a God..just grew lazy and found sin to be much easier than turning the other cheek. This book helped me a lot to know that the road would never be easy, but nothing that is worth it is ever easy; just worth it. I have told a lot of people about this book and encouraged everyone to read it. There, of course, are skeptics, but I definitely believe Colton Burpo and his family. There are things that children and animals see that us, as adults cannot grasp an understanding of or even get a sense of. This book is amazing! A must-read, even if you have no faith.
