This is a republication of 12 letters, which originally appeared in three Houston, Texas, newspapers between 1863 and 1865, on the Missouri guerrilla fighter William Quantrill and his men. These articles represent one of the only examples of news coverage of guerrilla warfare from the Southern point of view and published in Confederate newspapers. Includes additional material, such as postwar newspaper articles, biographical sketches, troop rosters, and excerpts from official army records.
