The year is 1954. Joseph Stalin is dead, and Kremlin insiders are circling one another, plotting to succeed him. In a distant part of the Soviet Empire, United States and British commandoes take advantage of the chaos to begin a mission to overthrow the Soviet-controlled government of Albania. The effort is doomed from the outset -- jinxed by a traitor.
