Follicular Dendritic Cells in Normal and Pathological ConditionsThis book covers different aspects of follicular dendritic cells: their morphological, phenotypic and functional features, their origin, relationship to B and T cells and their involvement in pathological conditions. These data are extensively presented in eleven chapters, well-illustrated and written by specialists. New unpublished results are given, for example, in addition to B cells, T cells also divide in contact with follicular dendritic cells. Follicles are thus not only nests for B cell proliferation but also provide stimuli for T cell multiplication and selection. |
