Review: Elizabeth Barrett Browning: A Biography

User Review  - Elli - Goodreads

An extraordinary story about an extraordinary poet. Her birth family was rather bizarre. The way she later married and raised her child was definitely non-conventional. Interesting but you feel rather detached reading it - too difficult for the modern reader to relate to her circumstances. Read full review
