I would like to comment and add certain sections that were not mentioned in the book. In 1804, was the birth of the Christian Church founded by Barton Stone. Two groups were formulated. The Disciples which became the Disciples of Christ, and the Christian Disciples. The Christian Disciples or Disciples were independent of the Disciples of Christ but connected which Barton Stone and Alexander Campbell. This was due to the Christians group joining together with the Disciples group - becoming the Christian Disciples. The Christian Disciples were found in certain parts of the U.S., and Canada. In 1860, The Christian Disciples changed their name to the Evangelical Christian Church (Christian Disciples). They continue the heritage of Barton Stone, becoming independent in their churches. It was in the early 1940s, the Evangelical Christian Church (Christian Disciples) became a nation religious body.
