Kenyon's strength is her great use of detail. They are all personal stories. Maybe her only flaws are that they are stories and a feeling I have that she is unable to take them to another level at times. But what a terrific writer. Read full review

About the author (1986)

Jane Kenyon is the author of "Otherwise: New and Selected Poems" and "A Hundred White Daffodils," She lived with her husband, Donald Hall, in Wilmot, New Hampshire, until her death in 1995.
