Review: The Call of the Wild, Grade 5-8User Review - Christianbook.com
I think that this book is a semi-good read for older children, but it happens to be filled with evolution. Buck is a dog whose morals fall and falter in his survival of the Artic and is somehow extremely influenced by his "primitive ancestors" so that he becomes more of a wolf than a tame judge's dog. I think that if there is a moral of the book, it is that the primitive side of us is almost better, and i don't think that I liked the book. Personally, I had to wade through it.
