Review: Slug Tossing: And Other Adventures of a Reluctant Gardener

User Review  - Rebecca - Goodreads

This book is a cute set-in-the-Pacific-Northwest story of a San Francisco-transplant to Portland who learns to garden against her better judgment. If you like the NW or gardening, you'll enjoy this. Cover artwork is done by a friend of ours, Susannah Bettag. Read full review

I love this book so much! It is my favorite go-to book on gardening, even though it is written in prose. I love it! Read it! Read full review

About the author (1998)

Meg Descamp lives in Portland, Oregon. After moving to a new home with a less than perfect yard, the reticent Descamp forced herself to learn the basics of gardening. Her conversion from non-gardener to green thumb resulted in the book, Slug Tossing and Other Adventures of a Reluctant Gardener (1998), a humorous but informative and popular book about the education of a novice gardener.
