i loved the imagery, as if you are standing in the middle of scene, the horror, the chill that it brings. Very gripping tale, strengthening the myth about the kings of Vampire, the narration by way of memoirs, diaries and journals, defines the uniqueness of every character, the behaviour and beliefs.
The portrayal of Dracula, the minute details about its survival as undead, just makes you nervous and
interesting at the same moment.
Very interesting read...i am glad i read it.

Really a wonderful classic. The story pulls you in quickly and then it seems that the action completely stops... but it builds up to the point where you cannot turn the pages fast enough to read the ending.

Johnathan Harker takes a business trip to Transylvania to make a deal with a nobleman by the name of Count Dracula for a housing in America. This trip he will never forget, for in his travels he endures a Vampire, hungry Wolves, disease, where other characters face death, heartbreak, and issues within friendships.
Though the book switches from Johnathan's journal to his fiancee Mina's letters, and to other characters in the book such as Mina's best friend, Lucy Westerna, or a psychiatric doctor, Dr. John Seward, who helps an insane man named Renfield, it is quite interesting to see how all of the characters relationships fall in play with each other as one huge puzzle.
The main plot of the story plays along much like a Sherlock Holmes book, where there is a mystery and conflict that the main character and friends or business partners must endure and finally put to rest in the case of Dracula.
Mysteries in the book include: Who is attacking Lucy as the nights go on? What happened to Johnathan to make him so sick? My personal opinion on the book is it's a pretty good novel to read, but there are some flaws in the book, but overall it is a great read. would I recommend it? Yes. I give the book 4 stars, cause even though it is a classic, others have re-wrote the actual book or parts of it like the final castle scene, or the scene when Lucy sleepwalks. My favorite part of this book is when Johnathan is on his way to the castle, when he was going through the woods and saw the blue flame over and over again.
My favorite character in the book is Professor Abraham Van Helsing. The reason I like this book is because there is added suspense as you get farther into the book and even though there is a lot of romance in the first 10 chapters, there is a lot of horror too.
One thing that i would change about this book if i had the chance would be: I would throw in a short story about Mr. Swales, the old man who was found with a broken necks death.
If you like this book I would recommend Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, or The Hound Of The Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
