Review: Primera memoria (Spanish Edition)

User Review  - Emusam - Goodreads

A little girl's first-person narrative of life on one of the Spanish islands during the Civil War. She is powerless in many ways, which especially evident at the end. There are very few men that don't go off to war, and those that remain are less-than-ideal. Quite a novel. Read full review

This is the second Ana Maria Matute's book I've read and is so wonderful and personal that now I'm more in love with her. Read full review
