About the author (2000)

Paul Thomas Anderson wrote and directed the movies "Boogie Nights" and "Magnolia," both of which were nominated for numerous awards, including Academy Awards for Best Original Screenplay. He also won the Best Director prize at the 2002 Cannes Film Festival for his film "Punch Drunk Love,"
