Although most people know of he cute little golden for Syrian hamster, few realize that it is actually on the the newer pets when compared to dogs, cats, rabbits, goldfish or even budgerigars and canaries. Further, you might be surprised to learn that all pet hamsters in the world, of this species, can be traced back to just two females and one male that were captured in Aleppo, Syria during 1930.
