Marx and Engels and the English Workers: And Other Essays (Google eBook)
The essays included in Parts I and II of this volume deal with aspects of thecareers of Marx, Engels and List which were dealt with only briefly in mybiographies of Engels and List. The chapter on "Marx and Engels andRacialism" was written in collaboration with the late Professor W.H. Chaloner. Part III brings together essays on the economic activities of Frederick the Greatand Walther Rathenau as well as an account of the contribution of a Germanentrepreneur (H.E. Falk) to the development of the salt industry in England. I wish to thank Dr Douglas Farnie for checking the proofs of these essays.
