My all time favorite!!!! I have read this book at least 7 times and will continue to read. The chemistry between Darcy and Lizzy is electric! All of the characters are fully developed. In my opinion the best romance book ever written. I love all of Jane Austen's books, but Pride & Prejudice is hands down my favorite. A book as the title states, about pride and prejudice's in Victorian English society. When the business of a women was making a good match in marriage(and by good match: a proper gentleman with 4 or 5 thousand a year)this is a delightfull story of how class distinction can fade away in the face of pure and sometimes unexpected love!!!! Pride & Prejudice, a comfy chaise lounge and a steaming cup of tea!!!! Wonderfull way to spend an afternoon!!

an awesum book.................dont read the unabridged version though(if u r impatient) Jane Austen can meander a bit. However the abidged version everyone should try...............i know that it is the age of bestsellers but classics should be given a try too.
