About the author

Richard Kelly is a journalist, an editor-at-large at Faber U.K., & a programmer for The Edinburgh Film Festival. He is the author of a biography of the English director Alan Clarke, & his next book is on politics & society in Northern Ireland. Jake Gyllenhaal is an Academy Award- and Tony-nominated actor, producer, and, most importantly, uncle to Ramona and Gloria. He was born in Los Angeles and has been best friends with Greta Caruso (his coauthor) since they were kids.
