About the author (1984)

Rhoda Lerman is an acclaimed novelist. When she published her first novel, Call Me Ishtar, at age 33 she was termed a "first novelist of formidble gifts" by the New York Times. Her subsequent critically acclaimed award-winning novels include The Girl That He Marries [1976], The Book of the Night [1984], God's Ear [1989] and Animal Acts.
