About the author

Monica Pedersen is an interior designer and do-it-yourself enthusiast who worked for a number of years as a successful fashion model, where she was educated in high-end design and textiles. As a designer on HGTV's Designed to Sell, Pedersen showed viewers how to add value to their homes while staying within a budget. Pedersen's work as an interior design expert and television host can be seen regularly on HGTV's Designed to Sell, Bang for Your Buck, Showdown, and HGTV Dream Home, with appearances on Live with Regis and Kelly, the Joy Behar Show, and the Today Show. In addition, her designs and tips have been featured in national publications including Redbook, Town and Country, Good Housekeeping, InStyle, USA Today, Washington Post, Woman's Day, Family Circle, Domino, and Chicago magazine. She lives just north of Chicago.
