An inspirational and practical book, Lace Fans combines various lacemaking techniques and patterns with the craft of fan making. Expert lacemaker Ann Collier's beautiful book brings lacemaking into the 21st century, encouraging lacemakers to be more adventurous in design and colour. There are full step-by-step instructions and patterns for 20 of the author's fans, each fully illustrated alongside the source of inspiration and the techniques used to create it. Patterns in needlelace and embroidered lace are all included, with full prickings for bobbin lace fans. The author hopes to inspire all lacemakers looking for a new direction and to encourage embroiderers to try making needlelace and embroidered lace.
