The Desert Crop
In 19th-century England, widower Hector and his distant relative Moira enter into a marriage of convenience. Both have been led to believe that the other is well heeled when in fact, they are both without resources. Though the marriage works well enough at first, eventually it leads to a horrifying act of violence - a shocking tragedy that unexpectedly frees a young man to pursue the love and happiness he once thought could never be his.
