About the author (1992)

Cuesta Ray Benberry is a respected quilt historian and the author of Always There: The African-American Presence in American Quilts; she was inducted into the Quilters' Hall of Fame in 1983. Carol Pinney Crabb is a quilt lecturer and historian.
