These plays were nothing like what I was expecting. Instead you get a kind of comic Joseph playing the enraged cuckold, and Roman soldiers speaking in alliterative verse making the crucifixion nothing less than a parody. Pretty rollicking reading so get ready for raucous raillery. Read full review
