I just finished reading this book tonight on the 22nd of February, 2009. Every time I read a book about Native American History and Culture, I find myself overwhelmed with emotions. This book brought tears to my eyes and hunger to know more about the Great Sioux Nation and all the Indian Tribes who protected these beautiful lands for thousands of years. I salute the Sioux Nation. I am so saddened by the lack of respect that the "Modern Man" has for nature. I think we have a lot to learn from the natives of this land.
