About the author (2002)

Adam Thierer is a senior fellow at the Progress & Freedom Foundation. As director of PFF's Center for Digital Media Freedom, he analyzes public policy developments that affect the economic and social aspects of the media industry, and especially First Amendment issues.

Crews is the director of technology studies at the Cato Institute.
