"WALT WITCOVER has been a teacher of acting for over fi fty years—fi rst at the HB Studio, for twentyfive years, and then at SUNY Purchase and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, as well as in private classes in Baltimore and in New York City, where he maintains his Witcover Acting Studio. A student
of Herbert Berghof and Lee Strasberg, his modern staging of Verdi’s La
