The Weir was the better play out of them all, but the characters were kind of stagnant. They just didn't go anywhere. All the other plays had such miserable characters. They just were not enjoyable to read. Read full review

About the author (1999)

Conor McPherson was born in Dublin, where he still lives. His plays include This Lime Tree Bower, St. Nicholas, The Weir, Port Authority and Dublin Carol. He has written three films, I Went Down, Saltwater and The Actors, and directed the last two.
