Hardon is a member of the Society of Jesus. He is actively involved with a number of organizations, including the Institute on Religious Life, the Apostolate for Family consecration, the Catholic Home Study Institute, and the Marian Catechists. He concentrates on the writing apostolate for international evangelization and catechesis. He resides at the University of Detroit.
