Design and analysis of magnetoresistive recording heads
Magneto-resistive recording heads are sensors that exploit magneto-resistance effects to read digital magnetically recorded data. These recording heads are most commonly encountered as computer disk drives, a $40 billion industry, of which magneto-resistive-recording heads represent $2-4 billion of that total. The industry is growing because of ever-growing need for increased storage capacity. Although there are many books available on magnetic disk drives, there is no other book that deals with the topic on the technical level and with the practical applications that this author provides.
