About the author (1999)

Bergmann is an award-winning, Juilliard-trained dancer and choreographer. She is Professor and Director of Dance at Florida International University and recently served as a Fulbright Scholar in Trinidad.

Colton is Professor of Mass Communication and Journalism at Shenandoah University. She holds a doctorate in social anthropology from the London School of Economics of the University of London.
