My name is Mable Woods-Dukes
I was born in Columbiana, Alabama in the County of Shelby.
My parents were the late Jasper and Luella Woods, Jasper
was a Sharecropper for many years.
I enlisted in the Military while I stayed in Evanston Illinois
working with my sister Jimmie, in 1965, into the USAF.
I am trying to find out if what I think is true that I was the
first African American woman to enlist into the Military in
my hometown of Columbiana, Alabama My email address
