For over forty years G. M. Henry's A Guide to the Birds of Ceylon has served thousands of bird-watchers. More than just a field guide, it describes in detail over 460 forms found in Sri Lanka, many of them also in India. In this edition, completely revised and enlarged by Thilo W. Hoffmann, Deepal Warakagoda and Upali Ekanayake, the systematic order and the nomenclature have been updated and many details about distribution added. The illustrations by the author are a special feature of this book. This edition includes two additional colour plates and six line drawings by the author's son Bruce Henry.
