About the author (2002)

Miles has worked in robotics for more than 12 years. He holds a Master's degree in mechanical engineering, and is currently active with the Seattle Robotics Society.

Carroll has been involved with robotics for more than 40 years. He built the robots that were featured in the movies Revenge of the Nerds and Buck Rodgers in the 25th Century, and founded his own company, Universal Robots Systems.
