About the author (1998)

David Weber is a science fiction and fantasy author. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1952. David has authored or co-authored over 40 books. Many of his stories have military themes. By frequently placing female leads in what have previously been seen as traditionally male roles, he has explored the challenges faced by women in the military and politics. He has just finished the 12th book in his Honor Harrington series, Mission of Honor. Some of his published works include: The Honor of the Queen, In Enemy Hands, The Service of the Sword, and Storm from the Shadows. Weber lives with his wife and children in Greenville, South Carolina.
