Old Tippecanoe travels chronologically through the life of our ninth president. It is a slog: the bulk of the book is spent on Harrison's battles against the Indians, but restricts itself to a dreary accounting of events rather than putting those events into context or speculating on how they might have shaped Harrison's personality. Unless you are a student of the time period, avoid this book.
