About the author (1978)

FOSTER HIRSCH is professor of film at Brooklyn College of the City University of New York. He is the author of numerous books on the performing arts including "KURT WEILL ON STAGE: From Berlin to Broadway, THE DARK SIDE OF THE SCREEN: Film Noir, THE BOYS FROM SYRACUSE: The Shuberts' Theatrical Empire, and "DETOURS AND LOST HIGHWAYS: A Map of Neo-Noir.
