A book that should be on every shelf of creative people. It's my source of metaphors when I'm in the studio.

A Pattern Language is one of the world best books!!! It will be very useful to a city architect and home designer, beginner and professional. The book describes problems and ready to use solutions. But the most important is that it helps you to understand each particular issue not as an isolated entity but to connect it with fundamental views of the world. Even after you read it all it definitely will be one of the most frequently used books.

This is the best book EVER on livability in our environment. I've owned it for 15-20 years and repeatedly go back to it. If you are in any kind of design field for civil engineering, land planning, or architecture, this is a MUST READ!
