Interesting book, but some of his facts need a scholarly review. Erroneously apologetic toward Mudd and the Surratts; especially harsh toward Mrs. Lincoln. Now read "Blood on the Moon" by Edward Steers and read the real facts.

Historical books are not really my thing, but I was impressed at the author's ability to take hundreds of accounts of one incident and make them into one seamless story. It was interesting in that regard. Read full review
