About the author (2011)

In 1980, Angelo Arnold sat in his kitchen and noticed two mice run across the floor. They played freely and had no cares. Something happened that night for Angelo that inspired him to make a life altering decision to write about life, characters and situations he witnessed. He named the characters and this became the moment he realized he had a gift for writing children’s stories, poems, novels and plays. Since Angelo was a child, he always believed that he had the ability to create imaginative characters and since has developed over 40 children’s stories and over 30 different characters. He also has about 50 poetry books that are publication-ready. His characters depict real people from true life experiences. This author’s aspirations include being recognized as the next Walt Disney, having the same respect for his works as Edgar Allen Poe, the wisdom displayed in Shakespeare’s writing, the heart of Maya Angelo and the longevity of Paul Lawrence Dunbar. Angelo hopes his works will soon be syndicated around the world and his children’s characters will be made into kid’s cartoons and developed for movie productions. He would like his poetry books to resound where and who we are as people to help transcend every nation and culture. Angelo seeks to help people identify themselves rather than separate themselves from each other. He hopes to inspire the world through his characters, poems and short stories with the message that procrastination and fear of failure will cripple your dreams and keep you from your success. He wants you to live your dreams and not grow old sitting in a rocking chair, telling a story that you never wrote or a life that you never lived. He also hopes people will benefit from his teachings and life experiences so their lives won’t become a “used-to-be” or a “should-havebeen.” Angelo resides in Centerville, Ohio, and is currently pursuing his Bachelors degree in Theology through North Carolina College of Theology. He briefly attended the Centerville Bible College. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps in 1979.
