About the author (2004)

Nina Jaffe is a much-honored and award-winning author, folklorist, and storyteller. She is known internationally for retellings of Jewish and world folklore in twelve picture books and collections, and in live performance. Since 1989 she has been on the graduate faculty of the Bank Street College of Education. She lives in New York City with her husband and son.

Ben Caldwell has created action figures based on characters from The Lord of the Rings, Spiderman, and the X-Men movies. He is currently redesigning the look of the popular Wonder Woman character for DC Comics.
