When it comes to the current "go-to" book on Systematic Theology, Berkhoff is still
at the top of the referential list for the miner of finer points of discussion and study. Technologically and
fundamentally sound, his approach to detail enhanced by the companion Introduction, bound with the descriptive atlas of The System of Reformed Thought, permits the concurrent dissection of the prolegomenon of Systematic Theology, cleanly and precisely to its core of Providentially interrelated function. The complete and concise coverage of dogmatic constructs built on foundational Principles of God and the Scripture are covered from a developmental, historical perspective, and then are underscored by an exhaustive Scriptural Index and Bibliography. For my use as a student of Theology, from the Reformed Prospective, Berkhoff's contribution has a place next to Calvin's Institutes when I find my self exploring the finer inner digitations of the "Reformed Theological Watch" searching for intricate details, descriptions, and the explanation of the principles of daily functional dependability and accuracy. In a word - OUTSTANDING
