Sharma is a fellow at the Indian National Science Academy and the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences. S. R. Bhat is a scientist at the National Research Centre on Plant Biotechnology in India. B. M. Prasanna is a fellow at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research.

Dr. K. V. Peter is Director of World Noni Research Foundation, India and is the former Director of the Indian Institute of Spices Research and Vice-Chancellor of Kerala Agricultural University, India.
