About the author (2006)

Kurt Repanshek lives in Park City, Utah. His work has appeared in Smithsonian, Audubon Hemispheres, National Geographic Traveler, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Denver Post, Miami Herald, New Orleans Times-Picayune, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and many other periodicals. His other books published by Wiley include America’s National Parks For Dummies and National Parks of the West For Dummies.With his wife, Marcelle, and youngest son, Sean, Repanshek spends much of his time outdoors, paddling, hiking, and camping in national forests and parks in the summer and cross-country skiing and snowshoeing through them in the winter. He’s also the creator of www.nationalparkstraveler.com, a blog dedicated to “Commentary, News, and Life in America’s National Parks.”
