How computers work
How Computers Work, Millenium Edition takes this already successful title one step further. While the book shows the reader how chips, software, memory, and hardware work using detailed four-color drawings, an animated, full-color CD-ROM takes them directly inside their computer. Contents of the CD include detailed descriptions and guided tours of every part of the computer from mouse and keyboard to monitor, processor and hard drive. The CD also contains source material, interviews and articles from editors at PC Computing, PC Week and other popular computer magazines. The book is completely updated and revised to include the latest technology developments including the Internet, multimedia sound and video, Pentium III/Xeon//Celeron processors, DVD drives, digital cameras, color printing, Y2K, and even ebooks.

Very impressed with the customer serviceUser Review - Overstock.com
The book is good and arrived in excellent condition but what I wanted to write here is about Overstock's customer service. This book happened to be supposed to arrive on the same day with another book (used) that I purchased from a private party. After about a week after the ordering, I checked the tracking numbers and both showed each item had been delivered. But I never received them! Because this was post office media mail they couldn't do much about it. I was very upset. I called Overstock's customer service just to see what they could do. Without asking any questions, the lady on the phone told me she would order a replacement for me right away, free of charge, and I got it in less than 5 days. I was very much impressed by this kind of customer care. I know they're #1 or 2 iin customer service in some national survey and now I know that was probably no joke. I'm certainly won over by this small act of kindness and trust. ...
