About the author (2012)

Christi Daugherty is a Texas expat living in London. While there she has discovered the joys of pubs and learned what bangers and mash are. Christi contributed to MTV Europe and is the author of several other Frommer's guides, including Frommer's Ireland and Paris Day by Day. Before emigrating to England, she attended Texas A&M University and worked as a freelance writer in Texas and New Orleans. Above all else she misses American football and tacos.

Olivia Edward is a British travel writer with a lust for adventure and new ideas. Beginning her career in Shanghai as Editor-in-Chief of China's first Englishlanguage travel magazine, Asia and Away, she went on to write for Time Out, DK, Luxe guides and over 50 other travel and lifestyle publications around the globe. Happiest when swimming in rough British seas, she is also extremely fond of fresh watermelon juice and Japanese all-you-can-eat-and-drink restaurants. With few such establishments in Ireland, her favorite stop-offs are Belfast--due to its hard edges and intense soul--and Bundoran, for the sea-bleached natives still living the surfing dream.

Clare O'Connor is a global nomad, born in Bermuda and educated in England and Philadelphia, where she graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2005. She studied English literature and worked slavish hours for both school and local publications. She hopes to someday edit a travel magazine and retire to the Dalmatian coast, but for now she lives and works in London. Clare also contributed to MTV Europe.
