The Equatorial Electrojet

Front Cover
0 Reviews
Gordon and Breach Science Publishers, 1997 - Science - 627 pages
The equatorial electrojet is the very intense electric current flowing in the ionosphere at the height of 90 to 150 km, centred on the magnetic dip equator, which dominates the ionosphere and geomagnetic variations in the equatorial zone. The characteristic amplification of many signals in the electrojet zone facilitates the study of manifestations originating in the polar regions, the magnetosphere and well beyond the earth.
The Equatorial Electrojet will be a valuable reference book to those studying the geomagnetism of the earth and all geophysicists seeking an insight into the electrojet phenomena.
