About the author (1994)

Torgny was born in Norsjo, Sweden. His works so far published in english include Bathsheba, Light and In Praise of Truth.

Gunnar Kopperud was born in Norway in 1946. He has worked as a war reporter in Africa for the Norwegian press and the Associated Press, and he is the author of the novel "The Time of Light," He lives in Norway.
Tom Geddes is the award-winning translator of "The Way of the Serpent" by Torgny Lindgren, "Dreamers" by Knut Hamsun, and "The Tale of a Dog" by Lars Gustaffson.
