About the author (1984)

James Kavanaugh has degrees in religious philosophy, psychology and theology and has traveled extensively. He has taught in various countries and was a priest teaching at Notre Dame University when he wrote his controversial book, A Modern Priest Looks at His Outdated Church. The book eventually led him to leave the priesthood, and he has since written the best-seller The Birth of Good and a book of poetry entitled There Are Men Too Gentle to Live Among Wolves.
