When I started reading this book, I thought it was great. Great future (?) world, great characters, interesting plot... but somehow it stopped atracting me. I don't know the reason, but I just left it ... Read full review

This book deserves some credits for forecasting Facebook acquiring Oculus Rift years before either of them even existed. As far as story goes, it's basically bunch of plot holes patched together with layers of plot holes. Read full review

After talking to a guy at work who went off about how this was his favorite book ever, read it multiple times, yada yada... I decided to give it a try, since it had been on my reading list for awhile ... Read full review

User Review  - Paul Rustand - Goodreads

I think this book is highly rated because it was written before the internet (as we know it) existed, and the author's vision of it is pretty remarkable. Didn't finish this. I didn't like the way the narrative kept switching between tenses and the concepts seemed too clichéd for me. I guess it was just not for me. Read full review

This book is super slow not sure why so many people recommended it to me. Hiro is a pizza delivery guy who plays in the metaverse. That sums it up I read a 100 pages and it never picks up. Author uses computer science terminology & symbolism. Read full review

If you're 12, then maybe you'll enjoy this book, however mature adults should avoid it at all costs. Stephenson seems to revel in overly bombastic lingo and faux shock, much to the detriment of what could have been a cool story. Read full review
