Collins is Technical Director of the Music Producers Guild (MPG). He has a Bsc in Electroacoustics and Msc in Music Information Technology. He has worked for Yamaha, Dolby and Neve and works on audio for TV, Film, multimedia and the Internet. He also writes regularly for MacWorld and Sound on Sound magazine.
