John Brust is listed in The Best Doctors in America. A world-renown authority on substance abuse and stroke, Dr. Brust is the recipient of several honors, including the Lewis P. Rowland Award for Excellence in Residency Teaching at Columbia University and the Charles Bomfalk Award for Excellence in Student Teaching at Columbia University.

He is the author of over 200 publications on topics that include disorders of music and language, alcoholism, drug abuse, stroke, epilepsy, nutritional disease, and health care delivery.
